About the role
The User Study Field Moderator is a hands-on technical on-site moderator supporting user-study research testing.
The role manages workflow deployment, venue staging, technical logistics, and field operations across international test locations.
The moderator bridges remote development teams with physical test sites.
Deployment structure
- Phase 1 consists of two weeks of on-site training in the United States.
- Phase 2 consists of a three-week field study deployment in Vancouver, British Columbia, with possible extensions.
- Travel is required during project phases, with travel, transit, lodging, and accommodation covered by the client.
Key responsibilities
- Execute user-study protocol data collection across international test sites.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and endpoint issues using escalation procedures and bug-triage processes.
- Use Linux, Windows, and macOS command-line environments for configuration, script execution, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with field teams, project managers, IT security, and stakeholders to meet implementation standards and timelines.
- Maintain asset inventories, document site configurations, and deliver daily status updates.
