Role Overview
The User Study Field Moderator is a hands-on technical on-site moderator supporting user study research testing.
The role bridges remote development teams and physical test locations through field operations and technical logistics.
Deployment Structure
- Phase 1 consists of two weeks of on-site training in the United States.
- Phase 2 consists of a three-week field study execution in Vancouver, British Columbia, with possible extensions.
- Future deployments may occur across Canada, Singapore, India, and other global sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute user study protocol data collection across international test sites according to precise guidelines.
- Manage workflow deployment, venue staging, and technical logistics across field locations.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and endpoint issues on-site using escalation and bug-triaging procedures.
- Use Linux, Windows, and macOS command-line environments for configuration, scripts, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with field teams, project managers, IT security, and stakeholders to meet standards and timelines.
- Maintain asset inventories, technical configuration records, and daily leadership status updates.
- Track, audit, transport, and securely handle prototype hardware and technical assets.
