Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing UAV test flights in accordance with test protocols and safety procedures
- Execute pre flight checks, flight test briefings, and post flight analyses
- Operate diverse UAV platforms including fixed wing, VTOL, and Drone in a Box systems
- Support validation of new software builds, payload configurations, and avionics updates
- Participate in integration activities including sensors, communication systems, avionics modules, and payloads
- Perform hands on technical tasks such as wiring checks, hardware installation, system calibration, and basic UAV maintenance
- Troubleshoot system issues during ground and flight testing and provide technical feedback
- Contribute to preparation of test plans, test cards, and technical procedures
- Record and analyze test data, supporting engineering teams with feedback
- Adhere to safety standards, aviation regulations, and operational policies
Requirements
- Minimum 1 2 years of aviation experience; UAV experience strongly preferred
- RC modelling experience with fixed or rotary wing OR general aviation pilot with 100+ hours
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
- Strong technical background with hands on experience in robotics, electronics, avionics, or hardware integration
- Ability to perform technical troubleshooting, hardware setup, wiring verification, and system level diagnostics
- Certification from FAA/EASA/ICAO or equivalent preferred

Role Overview
- UAV Operator (Emirati Talent) reporting to Chief UAV Test Pilot.
- Support flight operations and system integration for next generation tactical and ISR UAS.
Key Responsibilities
- Flight Test Execution: assist in planning and executing UAV test flights, pre flight checks, briefings, post flight analyses.
- Operate diverse UAV platforms: fixed wing, VTOL, Drone in a Box.
- Support validation of new software builds, payload configurations, avionics updates.
- Technical & Integration Support: participate in integration of sensors, communication systems, avionics, payloads.
- Perform hands on tasks: wiring checks, hardware installation, system calibration, basic UAV maintenance.
- Troubleshoot system issues during testing.
- Test Planning and Data Analysis: contribute to test plans, test cards, technical procedures.
- Record and analyze test data.
- Safety and Compliance: adhere to safety standards and aviation regulations.
- Collaboration and Reporting: communicate with Chief UAV Test Pilot and teams, document test logs and reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 2 years aviation experience; UAV experience strongly preferred.
- RC modelling experience with fixed or rotary wing OR general aviation pilot with 100+ hours.
- Strong technical background with hands on experience in robotics, electronics, avionics, or hardware integration.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated accountability and ability to perform in high pressure environments.
- Capable of performing hands on technical tasks including basic UAV maintenance.
- Comfortable working in fast paced, dynamic environments and challenging outdoor conditions.
- Certification from FAA/EASA/ICAO or equivalent preferred.
