Supply Planning and Procurement
- Process daily, weekly, or monthly purchase orders and obtain supplier confirmations.
- Ensure orders are dispatched within agreed lead times and follow up on back orders.
- Communicate forecast changes to suppliers.
- Prepare budgets according to order schedules and business recommendations.
- Perform risk-of-run-out analysis, order parts for new models, and obtain required approvals.
Stock Optimization
- Review inventory policies and target service levels.
- Monitor aged stock and forecast stock provision needs.
- Initiate and follow up on dead-stock disposal.
- Monitor excess and obsolete stock parts.
Logistics Operations
- Create Advance Shipping Notifications according to supplier invoices.
- Provide logistics data to control inbound shipments and clearing documents on time.
- Monitor logistics charges and manage payments with finance reporting.
- Arrange or renew Letters of Credit and follow up with finance on payments.
- Register customs claims, execute payments, coordinate ESMA or RFID approvals, and declare cargoes for insurance.
Continuous Improvement and Business Intelligence
- Create dashboards for process monitoring.
- Perform kaizens and projects to reduce operational costs.
- Advise on effective inventory-control actions and escalate processes that are not under control.
- Support on-time and under-budget project delivery.
- Apply agile ways of working.
System Utilisation
- Review system parameters to improve service levels.
- Monitor demand flier, lead time, demand change, and forecast alerts.
- Evaluate risk of run-out and master processes applicable to business needs.
Requirements
- Ability to process purchase orders, obtain approvals, and coordinate order confirmations and supplier lead times.
- Knowledge of inventory policy, target service levels, stock provisioning, and excess or obsolete stock management.
- Ability to perform forecast and risk-of-run-out analysis to maintain stock availability.
- Knowledge of logistics documentation, inbound control, clearing documents, and supplier invoices.
- Ability to prepare inventory or process-monitoring dashboards and support cost-reduction projects.
- Familiarity with agile ways of working and system alerts related to demand, lead time, and forecasts.
