About the Role
The Transport Planner role is described in the posting as a Load Planner within Linfox Intermodal.
The role optimises freight movements across the national network by balancing customer requirements, network capacity, and operational efficiency.
Schedule and Location
- This is a full-time permanent opportunity at the Intermodal Head Office in West Melbourne.
- The schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop load plans that maximise network utilisation while meeting customer service requirements.
- Coordinate freight movements across the Intermodal network for safe, efficient, and on-time delivery.
- Partner with Operations, Customer Service, and key stakeholders to execute daily transport plans.
- Resolve transport planning challenges and monitor freight volumes, transit schedules, and capacity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve planning, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a transport, logistics, or supply chain environment is required.
- Relevant experience may include transport operations, allocation, scheduling, fleet control, or load planning.
