Transport Solutions Specialist

As a Transport Solutions Specialist, you'll join the Analytics, Design & Solutions (ADS) team and play a key role in supporting new business opportunities, contract renewals, and network optimisation initiatives across Linfox. Reporting to the Transport Solutions Manager, you'll use transport analytics, network modelling, and operational insights to develop safe, practical, and commercially sound transport solutions. You'll partner closely with commercial, operational, fleet, and safety teams to improve network performance and deliver value for our customers. Key responsibilities:

Analyse transport data to identify opportunities for network optimisation and improved operational performance.

Develop and evaluate transport solutions using network modelling and simulation tools.

Support business development, contract renewal, and continuous improvement projects across the business.

Produce detailed cost models, productivity analysis, process maps, and resource planning recommendations.

Partner with commercial, operational, fleet, safety, and project teams to develop practical and executable solutions.

Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and support solution implementation.

We're looking for someone with strong transport operations knowledge and analytical capability who enjoys solving complex problems and working across a variety of business projects. You'll be comfortable working with large data sets, engaging stakeholders, and turning insights into practical transport solutions.

Experience in transport operations, transport analytics, transport planning, solution design, or logistics engineering.

Strong understanding of transport networks, fleet operations, and heavy vehicle regulations.

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with experience working with large and complex datasets.
