Role Overview
The Traffic Signal Supervisor oversees traffic signal installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair activities in Doha, Qatar.
The role supervises field technicians and supports reliable traffic signal system operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, testing, and commissioning of traffic signal systems.
- Coordinate technicians, field maintenance teams, daily manpower, materials, tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Inspect junctions, controllers, signal heads, poles, cables, detectors, pedestrian signals, and related equipment.
- Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance and coordinate responses to system faults and emergency breakdowns.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, procedures, project requirements, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other site teams.
- Review technician work, maintain quality standards, prepare reports, and maintain inspection and maintenance records.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure technicians follow safe working and traffic management practices.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in traffic signal, ITS, electrical, or road infrastructure projects is required.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic signal systems and electrical equipment is required.
- Experience with controllers, signal heads, detectors, pedestrian signals, cables, and junction boxes is required.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents is required.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and team-management skills are required.
- Qatar or GCC experience is advantageous.
- A valid Qatar driving license is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 2,800 per month.
Workplace
- The work location is in person.
