Role Overview
Join the traffic management team in Doha as a SCATS Operator.
Monitor the SCATS system, traffic signals, traffic conditions, and alarms to support smooth traffic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor SCATS and traffic signal status.
- Monitor traffic conditions, congestion, and incidents.
- Respond to system alarms and signal faults.
- Report faults and coordinate with maintenance technicians.
- Monitor communications between the control center and field equipment.
- Support traffic management during incidents and special events.
- Maintain daily logs and incident reports.
- Coordinate with SCATS engineers and technical teams.
- Escalate major system or traffic issues to the supervisor.
- Follow approved traffic management and control procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma or technical qualification in electrical, electronics, IT, traffic management, or a related field.
- Experience with SCATS, intelligent transportation systems, traffic signals, or traffic control room operations is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of traffic signal systems is required.
- Good computer, communication, observation, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of shift coverage is required.
- Qatar or GCC experience is an advantage.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 4,000 per month.
Work Location
- The work location is in person in Doha, Qatar.
