Traffic Signal Technician

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Technician to carry out installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of traffic signal systems and associated electrical and ITS equipment in Doha, Qatar.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with traffic signal equipment, electrical wiring, controllers, signal heads, cables, detectors, junction boxes, and field maintenance.

• Install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair traffic signal systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of traffic signal equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and traffic signal faults.
• Inspect and maintain traffic signal controllers, signal heads, pedestrian signals, poles, cables, detectors, and junction boxes.
• Carry out cable installation, termination, connection, and testing.
• Test electrical circuits, power supplies, cables, and field equipment.
• Replace damaged or defective components.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new traffic signal systems.
• Assist with traffic signal controller testing and fault diagnosis.
• Use electrical testing instruments and hand tools safely.
• Identify faults and report technical issues to the supervisor.
• Respond to emergency traffic signal breakdowns and restore systems promptly.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and replaced components.
• Follow all site safety procedures and traffic management requirements.
• Keep tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean and properly maintained.
• Work closely with supervisors and other technicians to complete maintenance activities on schedule.

• ITI, Diploma, or technical qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Traffic Signal Technician, Electrical Technician, ITS Technician, or similar position.
