Traffic Marshal

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and guide vehicles safely on-site using approved hand signals and communication methods.
• Assist drivers during reversing, parking, loading, and unloading operations.
• Monitor pedestrian and vehicle routes to avoid collisions and congestion.
• Ensure all traffic management procedures and safety regulations are followed.
• Inspect work areas for hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, crane operators, drivers, and security personnel.
• Maintain clear communication using radios, signs, and signals.
• Set up barriers, cones, warning signs, and designated traffic routes.
• Stop unauthorized vehicles or personnel from entering restricted areas.
• Support emergency procedures and incident response when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid Traffic Marshal/Banksman certification.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience in construction, logistics, or industrial environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with hand signaling standards and PPE requirements.
