About the Role
RBC seeks a Trade Support Analyst to provide first-line trade support for Commodities trading desks across multiple time zones. The role involves trade validation, reconciliation, reporting, and PnL analysis using Openlink systems.

Responsibilities
- Perform trade validation for Commodities derivatives and physical trades booked into Openlink booking systems.
- Monitor trade capture errors, analyze causes, and ensure corrective actions.
- Liaise with Front Office and cross functional teams as primary contact for queries and issues.
- Work with Futures/Clearing teams to identify and resolve trade breaks daily.
- Ensure successful Intraday/EOD processes within strict timelines.
- Perform daily checks for Dodd Frank / EMIR / CSA reporting.
- Perform system troubleshooting and develop technology tools (e.g., VBA macro) to support responsibilities.
- Assist Senior Analysts with reviewing deal templates for new product setup.
- Create and dispatch intraday, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly client MTM statements.
- Prepare and monitor FO Supervisory Reports and analyze PnL impact.
- Ensure daily and monthly procedures are strictly observed and maintain operational procedures.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and recommend automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (BBA / BComm / BMath / BSc)
- High degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of adaptability in a fast paced dynamic team environment
- Ambitious, results driven achiever
- Conceptual / Strategic thinker
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables and Macros)
- Sound knowledge of trading practices/terminology and derivatives products
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of VBA and SQL
- Experience in Capital Markets Operation or Technology positions
- Experience in Openlink and/or OPICS systems
- Strong understanding of risk concepts and risk management practices

What is the opportunity?
- Provide full ‘first line of defence’ trade support coverage to Commodities trading desks in multiple time zones and markets.
- Ensure efficient and accurate daily processing of all commodities OTC and Exchange Traded derivatives and physical trades on Openlink systems.
- Involves trade validation/verification, reconciliation, reporting, trade resets/fixing, loading of curves and prices, and generation of Intraday flash trading PnL.
What will you do?

- Analyze downstream impact of new deals, amendments, cancellations and communicate issues to stakeholders.
- Monitor trade capture errors, analyze causes, and ensure corrective actions.
