Role overview
The Trade Finance Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution and administration of trade finance transactions related to commodity trading activities.
The role coordinates with banks, traders, finance, logistics, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to process transactions accurately and on time.
Trade finance operations
- Coordinate trade finance transactions from initiation to completion.
- Prepare, review, and maintain invoices, purchase and sales contracts, bills of lading, certificates, packing lists, insurance documents, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate Letters of Credit, documentary collections, bank guarantees, and other trade finance instruments.
- Liaise with banks regarding issuance, amendments, document submissions, discrepancies, settlements, and related queries.
- Monitor transaction status and ensure documents are submitted within agreed timelines.
- Resolve documentation and transaction issues with traders, finance, logistics, and counterparties.
- Maintain accurate transaction records, bank communications, supporting documents, and audit trails.
Bank and payment coordination
- Coordinate with relationship banks on trade finance facilities, transaction processing, and documentation requirements.
