About the Role
Maersk is seeking a Third Engineer for container vessels. The role involves engine room watch-keeping, maintenance of generator engines, and ensuring safety. Requires at least 6 months sea time in rank on vessels with UMS and minimum 20000 BHP engine size.

Responsibilities
- Perform engine room watch keeping duties when required
- Perform work routines in area of responsibility as directed by Chief Engineer and/or Second Engineer
- Maintain generator engines and fuel injection equipment as required by PMS
- Ensure generator engines are well maintained for optimum performance and fuel consumption
- Check stock of generator and fuel injector spare parts
- Maintain order and cleanliness in generator engine room(s) and other work areas
- Perform routine and maintenance activities including breakdown maintenance
- Ensure chemicals are used safely and as per Material Safety Data Sheet instruction
- Instruct and supervise in the use of safety, environmental protection, firefighting and lifesaving equipment
- Understand the importance of briefing and debriefing to ensure efficient teamwork
