- Define the category strategy for your portfolio, in line with global and regional category strategy
- Map and analyze data on current spend patterns and identify cost drivers and opportunities
- Develop new models to analyze supplier offers and quantify total costs and total values of ownership
- Lead negotiations with suppliers by preparing a comprehensive negotiation strategy
- Ensure contract compliance by updating relevant information in contract management tools
- Simplify and effectively communicate complex messages to leadership
- Execute and deliver on time and in line with purposeful targets
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree at minimum but preferably also an MBA/Master’s degree
- Enjoys creating value through innovative mindset and is comfortable challenging the status quo
- A tech savvy, top performer who excels in executing under pressure and over delivering towards the business
- Understands stakeholder management excellence and can build trust even in challenging situations
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and preferably with good experience in financial /excel modeling
- Potential to quickly excel in our key differentiating sourcing skills: Sourcing Strategy, Negotiations, Cost Modeling and Project Management
- International mindset, willingness to travel and ability to appreciate and operate in a cross cultural environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit

Overview
- We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Terminal Procurement team for West and Central Asia within Maersk Procurement within the A.P. Moller Maersk Group.

Key Responsibilities
- Defining the category strategy for your portfolio, in line with global and the regional category strategy with the objective of creating value for our customer by partnering with the right suppliers. The strategy needs to support the Must Win Battles for Procurement around Environment & Sustainabili
- Mapping and analyzing data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities in complex marketplaces
- Developing new models to analyze supplier offers and quantify total costs and total values of ownership
- Lead negotiations with the suppliers by preparing a comprehensive negotiation strategy
- Ensure contract compliance by updating the relevant information in the contract management tools
- Simplify and effectively communicate complex messages to the leadership
- Finally, you will have significant responsibility from the start and be expected to execute and deliver on time and in line with our purposeful targets.
