About the Role
Drt is seeking a Textile Chemical Engineer to oversee and optimize chemical processes in textile production, dyeing, finishing, and quality control. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Textile Chemical Engineering or related field and 2-5 years of experience in dyeing, finishing, or washing operations.

- Develop, implement, and optimize chemical processes for dyeing, washing, finishing, and other textile treatments
- Evaluate and select suitable dyes, chemicals, auxiliaries, and formulations for various fabric types
- Monitor and improve process parameters (temperature, time, pH, concentration) to ensure consistent quality
- Troubleshoot production issues related to color fastness, shade variation, staining, chemical reactions, and fabric defects
- Conduct lab trials and scale them up for bulk production
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards (including wastewater management)
- Collaborate with QA, Production, and R&D teams to introduce new finishes, sustainable chemicals, and innovative processes
- Maintain precise documentation, SOPs, chemical inventories, and process records
- Analyze chemical costs and contribute to cost saving initiatives
- Train production staff on safe chemical handling and updated processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in dyeing, finishing, or washing operations (woven/knit/garments)
- Strong knowledge of dyes, auxiliaries, textile fibers, finishing agents, and related chemical interactions
- Understanding of lab to bulk correlation, shade matching, and color measurement systems
- Familiarity with sustainability certifications (OEKO TEX, ZDHC, GOTS) is an advantage
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
