Role Overview

Senpilot is building AI agents for utility engineering workflows, regulatory filings, and compliance.

The Technical Product Manager will own day-to-day technical execution for the Regulatory AI Agent.

The product uses a database of more than 10 million historical regulatory filings and an intelligence layer for regulatory teams.

The role reports to the CTO and works with utilities, consultants, lawyers, regulators, internal subject matter experts, design, and engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Shape the product roadmap and turn strategic objectives into near-term deliverables.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into executable engineering problems and tickets.
  • Prioritize daily engineering work across customer needs and longer-term milestones.
  • Own customer activation and investigate product analytics to improve feature adoption.
  • Use rapid build-measure-learn loops to prototype, collect user feedback, and iterate.
  • Prototype hands-on with AI coding tools before work reaches the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with design from concept through polished user flows.
  • Keep specifications, mocks, and tickets aligned across design and engineering.
  • Use AI tools in the product workflow to improve output.

What You'll Bring

  • At least 3 years of product management experience.
  • B2B or enterprise SaaS experience is preferred.
  • Prior software engineering experience is a major plus.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
  • Experience collaborating closely with design and engineering on lean teams.
  • Ability to work in a complex regulated domain; regulatory or energy experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • An action-oriented, scrappy approach and willingness to work with low ego.

Work Location

  • The role follows a hybrid work approach.
  • The team gathers at its downtown Toronto office up to three times per month, and candidates should be able to attend in person on those days.

Compensation

  • The estimated base salary range in Canada is CAD 120,000 to CAD 160,000 per year.
  • Most new hires join near the midpoint, with actual pay varying based on experience, skills, location, and business needs.
  • The role includes equity.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health benefits are available from day one for employees and dependents.
  • Time off includes 20 vacation days and 5 flex days around end-of-year holidays.
