Technical Office Duties

  • Review structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, design calculations, and engineering documents for construction.
  • Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, and technical queries.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, procurement, planning, and survey teams.
  • Ensure structural works comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes.

Structural and Construction Support

  • Review structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, equipment foundations, platforms, supports, and related structural works.
  • Monitor engineering revisions and maintain the latest approved documents for construction.
  • Support structural steel fabrication and erection, concrete works, foundations, grouting, installation, and related activities.
  • Review shop and fabrication drawings and coordinate with subcontractors and fabricators.

Procurement and Documentation

  • Review material take-offs, bills of quantities, material specifications, and technical requirements to support procurement.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and provide practical technical solutions.
  • Maintain engineering records, drawings, revisions, and technical documentation with document control.
  • Assist with as-built drawings, final documentation, and project handover dossiers.

Coordination

  • Attend technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support construction and QA/QC teams in resolving site technical issues, non-conformances, and design-related queries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
  • At least 10 years of relevant technical office or structural engineering experience is required.
  • Experience in EPC, oil and gas, or construction projects is required.
  • ADNOC experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of applicable codes and standards are required.
  • Strong technical coordination and communication skills are required.
