Job Summary

The Technical Manager will lead and oversee the engineering and technical execution of power generation projects, with a strong focus on gas-fired generation technologies (e.g., combined cycle, open cycle, reciprocating engines).

This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic project leadership, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Project Leadership:**
  • Lead the technical planning, design, and execution of gas-based power generation projects from concept to commissioning.
  • **Engineering Oversight:**
  • Supervise multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, civil) and ensure alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • **Technology Evaluation:**
  • Assess and select appropriate gas generation technologies (e.g., turbines, engines, CHP systems) based on project requirements and site conditions.
  • **Stakeholder Coordination:**
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution and compliance.
  • **Budget & Schedule Management:**
  • Support cost estimation, procurement strategies, and scheduling to meet project milestones.
  • **Risk & Quality Management:**
  • Implement robust QA/QC procedures and risk mitigation strategies across all phases of the project.
  • **Sustainability & Efficiency:**
  • Promote energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and integration of digital tools (e.g., SCADA, predictive maintenance) in plant operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in power generation projects, with at least 5 years in gas-based systems
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale EPC or IPP projects
  • Strong knowledge of gas turbine technologies, thermodynamics, and grid interconnection
