Technical Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of curtain walls, unitized and stick systems, aluminum windows and doors, cladding, skylights, canopies, balustrades, and other facade systems.
- Review architectural, structural, and facade drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
- Develop system concepts, design details, interfaces, and project-specific technical solutions.
- Coordinate shop drawings, structural and thermal calculations, glass analysis, material submissions, and method statements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, authority requirements, and approved system-supplier standards.
- Identify technical risks, design conflicts, missing information, and scope gaps, and raise RFIs promptly.
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, clients, architects, system suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Lead technical meetings and ensure timely closure of consultant comments and approval requirements.
- Guide facade designers, structural engineers, BIM modellers, draftsmen, and technical coordinators.
- Review and endorse technical deliverables before submission.
- Coordinate with estimation, procurement, planning, production, QA/QC, installation, and project teams.
- Verify drawings, cutting lists, glass sizes, aluminum profiles, accessories, and fabrication information before production.
