About the Role

- Lead discussions and demonstrate informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
- Lead small size changes
- Support production issues and handle escalations during Release cycles
- Develop and deliver Technical Specification Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models
- Participate in development of detailed project plans, monitoring progress, financial review, and securing consensus
- Work closely across technology teams during all stages of SDLC and bridge gap between business and technology
- Liaise between business community and IT organization to provide technical solutions
Requirements
- Experience working across multiple teams and functions to ensure alignment
- Strong scripting ability to create and run queries using SQL and Python
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver working results
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in business administration, computer science or related field

The Team
- Global Corporate Functions (GCF) is the technology engine that powers Scotiabank’s Corporate, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets businesses.
The Role
- RRAE Team within GCF is searching for Technical Business Analyst to liaison between business stakeholders and internal engineering and architect teams.
- The successful candidate will have a results oriented and curious mindset with strong technical skills.

- Lead discussions and demonstrate informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems.
- Lead small size changes.
- Support production issues and handle escalations during Release cycles.
- Strong analysis and investigation skills to determine root cause for ad hoc requests.
- Coordinate with upstream and downstream operational teams.
- Develop and deliver Technical Specification Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models.
- Participate in development of detailed project plans, monitoring progress, financial review.
- Work closely across technology teams during all stages of SDLC.
- Liaise between business community and IT organization.
- Build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues in Global regions.
- Augment/produce documentation and artifacts.
- Perform ad hoc project work.

- A recognized undergraduate degree or diploma in business administration, computer science or related field.
