Technical Authority – Advanced Risk Assessment (LNG Storage Tanks)

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced risk assessment of LNG storage tanks based on RBM principles
• Develop internal company standards for LNG storage tank life extension without shutdown (warming up method)
• Create detailed procedures for extending LNG tank service life without taking tanks out of operation
• Identify risks associated with life extension activities and define mitigation measures
• Scope of Work:
• 1.
• Literature review of LNG storage tank decommissioning, challenges, and best practices
• 2.
• Review of non-invasive / minimally invasive inspection methods for LNG tanks
• 3.
• Analysis of international codes, standards, and regulations
• 4.
• Review of global LNG operational experiences and predictive maintenance strategies
• 5.
• Review of tank documentation for T-3101 and T-3102 including maintenance and inspection records
• 6.
• Develop diagnostic and assessment program for safe life extension without shutdown

Required Experience

• LNG industry experience
• Cryogenic equipment expertise
• Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) and advanced risk assessment experience
• LNG storage tank integrity assessment knowledge
• Familiarity with international LNG standards and practices

• Technical Authority / Senior Consultant / SME
• Engineering consultancy or LNG specialized company
• Strong technical reporting skills
• Independent working capability

• Do you have proven experience in LNG storage tanks or LNG terminal projects?
• Have you worked with cryogenic equipment or cryogenic storage systems?
• Do you have experience in Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) or similar risk assessment methodologies?
• Have you been involved in integrity assessment or life extension of industrial storage tanks?
• Are you familiar with international LNG standards, codes, or regulatory frameworks (e.g., API, EN, ISO, SIGTTO, etc.)?
• Do you have experience performing technical risk assessments for large-scale industrial assets?
• Are you able to work independently as a Technical Authority or Subject Matter Expert?

Experience

• Advanced Risk Assessment (LNG Storage Tanks): 1 year (Preferred)
• Work Location: Hybrid remote in Doha (Doha)
