Role Overview
Exponent Energy is seeking a Tech Support Engineer for its after-sales operations team.
The role supports electric vehicle fleets, battery systems, vehicle diagnostics, uptime, and customer experience.
What You Will Do
- Provide remote and on-field technical support for electric vehicles.
- Diagnose lithium-ion battery pack, powertrain, high-voltage, CAN, and electrical issues.
- Analyze failure data, conduct investigations, and perform root source analysis.
- Coordinate issue resolution with OEMs, field teams, customers, and engineering teams.
- Support battery swap operations, battery pack rework, and turnaround-time targets.
- Maintain service records, prepare technical reports, and document critical escalations.
- Train and guide field technicians and provide field feedback for service improvements.
- Support Design for Service activities that improve EV system serviceability.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Automobile, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Three to eight years of experience in after-sales operations and customer support.
- Experience in electric vehicles or heavy commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage systems, CAN communication, and electrical diagnostics.
