- Work with curriculum support staff where applicable
Teaching and Learning
- Clear understanding of the Curriculum
- Organise classroom provision and learning resources
- Plan and present sessions catering to whole ability range
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching
- Observe and assess children in line with school assessments
- Reflect on classroom provision and adjust accordingly
- Meet with other professionals if required
- Embed school DNA and attitudes throughout curriculum
Assessment and Data
- Take responsibility for progress of a class
- Meet requirements for assessment and recording using Target Tracker
- Use data to influence planning and intervention
- Provide feedback to parents at conferences and meetings
Behaviour Management and Duties
- Follow school's behaviour policy
- Manage classes effectively using appropriate approaches
- Maintain good relationships with pupils
- Be a positive role model
- Have high expectations of behaviour
- Carry out duties as directed
Wider Professional Responsibilities
