Job Description

  • Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Teacher English for Seer Bani Yas Charter School in Abu Dhabi for Academic Year 26/27.
  • The school offers American based curriculum to Grades 6 and 7, catering for 617 Emirati students, all boys.

Key Task

  • Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Be a good communicator at all levels.
  • Develop positive relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly.
  • Work with parents to ensure happiness and best academic outcomes.
  • Work cooperatively with curriculum support staff.

Teaching and Learning

  • Clear understanding of the Curriculum.
  • Organize classroom provision and learning resources.
  • Plan, prepare and present sessions for whole ability range.
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching.
  • Observe and assess children in line with school assessments.
  • Be reflective of classroom provision and adjust accordingly.
  • Meet with other professionals if required.
  • Ensure Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes are embedded.

Assessment and Data

  • Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
  • Meet requirements for assessment and recording using Target Tracker.
  • Use data to influence further planning and intervention.
  • Provide feedback to parents at Parent Teacher Conferences.

Behaviour Management and Duties

  • Follow the school's behaviour policy.
  • Manage classes effectively.
  • Maintain good relationships with pupils.
  • Be a positive role model.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour.
  • Carry out duties as directed.

Wider Professional Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a curriculum action group.
  • Support organizing and taking part in school events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers.
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.
  • Run a weekly ECA each term.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 1 2 years Teaching experience.

  • Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • High level of professionalism and consideration of well being of children.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra curricular activities.
  • Respect for all members of a school community.

  • Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
