Core responsibilities
- Migrate SAS frameworks to Databricks and PySpark and develop PySpark pipelines from SAS macros.
- Implement validation frameworks between SAS and Spark outputs.
- Manage Git or Bitbucket integration, code reviews, production deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and data quality checks.
- Design and maintain AWS data pipelines and data lakes using S3, Glue Catalog, and Lake Formation.
- Work with Redshift, Snowflake, Athena, Spark, EMR, and Glue for data engineering and warehousing solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans and collaborate with analytics, business, and process-owner teams.
- Document solutions, testing procedures, UAT scenarios, production processes, and automation flows.
- Facilitate structured change control and design, develop, and deploy solutions using suitable tools and conventions.
