- Assess current systems and database operational model, identify gaps, and define areas of improvement
- Gather business needs, oversee database design, and finalize capacity plans
- Perform daily operations of systems and databases to maintain optimal performance
- Develop maintenance implementation plans and coordinate maintenance activities
- Receive and review change requests, monitor implementation
- Receive and prioritize systems/database incidents and escalated tickets
- Monitor performance, health, and safety of IT systems and databases
- Review operations performance reports and implement improvements
- Train junior staff and provide support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Infrastructure Management, IT Operations Management, IT Compliance, Database Design and Operations, Solving IT Incidents and Problems, Information Systems Knowledge

Purpose of Job
- Jobholders at this level are experienced professionals capable of conducting work with general directions.
- They develop solutions to challenges requiring analysis, address issues escalated from junior levels, and undertake complex operational activities.
- Duties include drafting ZATCA IT systems and database operations guidelines, leading installation/configuration/upgrades, supervising patches, troubleshooting, and monitoring systems.
Systems & Database Operations and Performance Management
- Assess current systems and database operational model, identify gaps and challenges.
- Gather business needs, oversee database design, finalize capacity plans.
- Perform daily operations of systems and databases.
- Oversee daily work activities, assess feasibility of automation.
- Develop maintenance implementation plans and coordinate maintenance.
- Receive and review change requests, monitor implementation.
- Receive and prioritize incidents and escalated tickets.
- Monitor performance, health, and safety of IT systems and databases.
- Review performance reports, analyze against KPIs, implement improvements.
Organization and Operations
- Follow all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Help solve escalated problems and provide support for junior team.
- Escalate complex problems to relevant person.
- Perform other duties as requested.
People Management
- Train junior staff on job activities.
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility.
- Support junior staff or direct reports.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
