Role Overview
Systems Administrator role focused on UNIX/Linux servers and enterprise storage environments.
The role supports banking clients in Abu Dhabi and ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability for mission-critical applications.
Required Experience
- Experience with UNIX/Linux administration and enterprise storage management is required.
- Banking-domain experience is required.
- Experience with SAN/NAS, LVM, and Linux file systems is required.
- Automation scripting, troubleshooting, and IT operations support capabilities are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain UNIX/Linux servers.
- Administer SAN/NAS, LVM, and ext4, XFS, and Btrfs file systems.
- Use top, iostat, vmstat, and sar to monitor and optimize performance.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies and protect data integrity.
- Apply patches, manage user access, and enforce compliance standards.
- Develop Bash, Python, and Ansible scripts for operational automation.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and storage-related issues.
- Maintain accurate configuration, procedure, and policy documentation.
