The System Operations Manager oversees system operations activities and coordinates operational teams across multiple environments.
The role develops operational policies, standards, plans, and best practices while aligning solutions with program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee system operations, mentor junior staff, and manage large-scale projects.
- Maintain the System Operations Plan and coordinate between operational teams.
- Lead operational reviews, assessments, and readiness activities for new system deployments.
- Analyze performance metrics, recommend improvements, and manage operational risks.
- Establish incident management, problem management, and capacity planning processes.
- Manage budgets, establish service level agreements, and represent operations in leadership forums.
- Ensure integration of operational components and compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Secret security clearance is required.
- A bachelor's degree is required for the listed junior, journeyman, and senior levels.
- Junior candidates require 0 to 3 years of experience; journeyman candidates require 4 to 7 years; senior candidates require 8 or more years.
- CND, GFACT, GSEC, or Security+ applies to junior or journeyman roles.
- SecurityX, CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, FITSP-O, GICSP, or SSCP applies to senior roles.
- Professional English proficiency, Microsoft Office proficiency, communication skills, and a self-starter mindset are required.
Work Environment
- The position is on-site in a business-office environment with computers, phones, and printers, with occasional loud noise possible.
- The role requires sitting, standing, talking, hearing, and using a computer terminal for extended periods.

- Occasional travel of up to 10% is expected.
