Role Overview

Workplace

• The position is based on-site in Arlington, Virginia.
• The work environment may include a business office with computers, phones, and printers, with occasional loud noise from airfields or large equipment.

Systems Engineering Duties

• Translate customer requirements into detailed system designs and recommend optimal alternatives.
• Define user roles and personas for appropriate system access controls.
• Create and maintain system models, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform trade studies and develop verification and validation procedures.
• Participate in technical reviews and support system testing activities.
• Collaborate on system integration and mitigate technical risks.
• Implement requirements traceability and conduct system performance analysis.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and improve systems engineering processes.

Qualifications

• A Secret Security Clearance is required.
• A bachelor's degree is required for the listed Junior, Journeyman, and Senior levels.
• Junior candidates have 0 to 3 years of experience, Journeyman candidates have 4 to 7 years, and Senior candidates have 8 or more years.
• Professional proficiency in English and Microsoft Office proficiency are required.
• CSSLP, GCLD, or GSEC may apply to Junior or Journeyman roles.
• FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, or SSCP may apply to Senior roles.

Travel and Physical Demands

• Travel is occasional and may be up to 10%.
• The role requires the ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
• The employee may need to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Compensation

• Salary estimates for the job range from $97,000 to $181,000.
• Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.
