Role Overview
The Systems Engineer will conduct comprehensive systems engineering activities supporting the WDP platform.
The role includes system design, analysis, integration, verification, technical documentation, and lifecycle support.
Workplace
- The position is based on-site in Arlington, Virginia.
- The work environment may include a business office with computers, phones, and printers, with occasional loud noise from airfields or large equipment.
Systems Engineering Duties
- Translate customer requirements into detailed system designs and recommend optimal alternatives.
- Define user roles and personas for appropriate system access controls.
- Create and maintain system models, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform trade studies and develop verification and validation procedures.
- Participate in technical reviews and support system testing activities.
- Collaborate on system integration and mitigate technical risks.
- Implement requirements traceability and conduct system performance analysis.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and improve systems engineering processes.
Qualifications
- A Secret Security Clearance is required.
- A bachelor's degree is required for the listed Junior, Journeyman, and Senior levels.
- Junior candidates have 0 to 3 years of experience, Journeyman candidates have 4 to 7 years, and Senior candidates have 8 or more years.
- Professional proficiency in English and Microsoft Office proficiency are required.
- CSSLP, GCLD, or GSEC may apply to Junior or Journeyman roles.
- FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, or SSCP may apply to Senior roles.
Travel and Physical Demands
- Travel is occasional and may be up to 10%.
- The role requires the ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- The employee may need to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer.
Compensation
- Salary estimates for the job range from $97,000 to $181,000.
- Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.
