Role Overview
Organic Foods and Cafe is seeking an experienced Sushi Chef passionate about producing high-quality sushi and Japanese culinary dishes.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare maki, nigiri, sashimi, and other sushi varieties.
- Select fresh fruits and vegetables for high-quality dishes.
- Create sushi menus using varied ingredients and raw fish such as salmon, tuna, and unagi.
- Use ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi, and soy sauce to add appropriate flavors to sushi rolls.
- Manage food preparation activities, including boiling rice.
- Coordinate with wait staff on cooking requirements, special requests, and food allergies.
- Prepare Japanese-style appetizers, soups, and salads.
- Monitor food stock and place orders when needed.
- Recommend new and modern recipes, including creative sushi dishes.
- Maintain hygiene in cooking areas and clean workspaces at the end of shifts.

- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures is required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts is required.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
