About the Role
The Support Crew Member Program supports clients training in aircraft simulators that require a minimum two-pilot crew.
Qualified candidates receive hands-on experience and training on advanced aircraft platforms in real-world environments.
The program prepares and certifies students to perform Pilot Monitoring duties during approved aviation training events.
Program Objectives
- Perform the Pilot Monitoring role during FAA Part 61, 91, and 135 training events and EASA and GCAA training events.
- Provide formal Second-in-Command simulator training for selected aircraft types.
- Provide right-seat support for clients attending approved aviation training courses.
Program Duration and Commitment
- The Support Crew Member Program spans two years.
- The cost of type rating and associated training is offset through a predetermined number of completed support sessions.
- Support sessions are distributed across four quarters with a set threshold per quarter.
Candidate Requirements
- FAA Commercial Pilot License or Airline Transport Pilot License is required.
- An Airplane Multi-Engine Land rating is required.
- Good communication skills are required.
- A minimum of 200 flying hours is required.
Training Environment
- Training and support activities take place at CAE facilities.
