Description

Serve as the reference for consolidated financial governance and reporting of CAE’s global digital initiatives.

Act as financial lead for business cases involving technology investments.

Focus on financial risk management, business partnering, investment assessments, improvement delivery, and operational reporting.

Report to the Finance Manager of Digital Initiatives and work within a team of two analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare consolidated monthly forecasts covering costs and amortization of intangible assets.
  • Analyze financial results, highlight insights, and present findings to internal clients and management.
  • Prepare consolidated risk overviews and support partners in mitigating risks and achieving financial targets.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc executive-ready financial deliverables.
  • Lead and participate in improvement projects involving data governance, reporting, process standardization, controls, automation, and change management.
  • Improve operational tasks and controls that support accurate governed and reported data.
  • Participate in budgeting for global digital initiatives.
  • Support the Finance Manager with the Digital Planning agile process and governance.
  • Build trusted partnerships with technology leaders, Finance teams, and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • At least 6 years of experience in financial governance, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong experience preparing business cases for technology investments.
  • Experience designing and implementing process improvements, preferably in a Finance department.
  • Experience preparing executive-ready deliverables.
  • Bilingual French and English, written and spoken.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or professional accounting designation such as CPA.
  • Experience using Visio.
  • Strong analytical skills, risk management mindset, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, influence stakeholders, and support continuous improvement.
