Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
- Determine how food should be presented and devise decorative food displays
- Ensure proper portion sizes, arrangement, and decoration of served food
- Control the amount of food prepared
- Inform Food and Beverage service staff about rejected products and special menu items
- Prepare special meals or replace products
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks
- Monitor kitchen items and food in stock
- Maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety and product safety programs
- Ensure food quality and notify manager of any non conforming products
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- Comply with all safety and company policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; perform safety training and obtain certifications
Requirements
- Education: Degree from a technical, trade, or vocational school
- 4 to 6 years of related work experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
