A global energy maritime logistics leader is seeking a Superintendent, Technical for Dry Bulk and Containers. The role oversees technical operations of ships, including maintenance, repair, budgeting, surveys, inspections, and docking.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections, and docking
- Ensure assigned vessels are technically operational and managed according to management agreement requirements
- Contribute to formulation and implementation of dry fleet department strategic plan from a technical perspective
- Receive and review ship requests for repairs and supervise repairs to ensure compliance with class and IMO, OCIMF, and ICS rules
- Supervise dry docking process including preparing repair specifications, analyzing tendering documents, and supervising repairs
- Follow up planned maintenance schedules and ship certifications
- Supervise completion of maintenance work and acquisition of equipment/spare parts
- Monitor and control consumption of stores, spare parts, fuel, lube oils, and chemicals
- Carry out technical inspections of ships' machinery, equipment, structures, and documentation
- Maintain monitoring systems for technical aspects and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to
- Draft budget and provide information for dry fleet technical budget preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent from a recognized institution or foreign going CoC (Class 1) (motor or steam) or equivalent qualification
- Relevant certifications / licenses
- 8 years of experience, progressing to the rank of Chief Engineer
- Experience on Dry Bulk and Containers

About The Job
- Responsible for the overall management and technical operations of Company’s Ships.
- Oversee daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections, and docking.
- Ensure assigned vessels are technically operational or otherwise managed accordingly to the management agreement requirement.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to formulation and implementation of dry fleet department strategic plan from a technical perspective.
- Receive and review ship requests for repairs and supervise repairs to ensure compliance with class and IMO, OCIMF, and ICS rules.
- Supervise dry docking process through preparing ships’ dry dock repair specifications, analyzing tendering documents, and supervising dry docking repairs.
- Follow up planned maintenance schedules and ship certifications.
- Supervise completion of maintenance work, including acquisition of equipment/spare parts.
- Follow up effective provision of marine equipment and spare parts on the company’s dry fleet.
- Monitor and control consumption of relevant stores, spare parts, fuel, lube oils and chemicals.
- Carry out technical inspections of ships’ machinery, equipment, structures and documentation.
- Maintain monitoring systems which record technical aspects.
- Follow up proper implementation of record system and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure all relevant health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and controls are adhered to.
- Draft budget and provide information for dry fleet technical budget preparation.
Minimum Requirements
