About the Role
Parsons seeks a Structural Specialist to review design documents, support structural engineering, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects in Riyadh.

Responsibilities
- Review project standards, specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.
- Review design build submissions, drawings, calculations, design reports, operating manuals, and technical documents to ensure compliance with client specifications and project standards.
- Review contractor submittals, including materials, construction methodologies, subcontractor prequalification documents, and related technical submissions.
- Support the Lead Civil Engineer and Senior Structural Engineers in preparing, reviewing, and consolidating technical reports, investigations, root cause analyses, and engineering status reports.
- Assist in maintaining project budgets, schedules, and compliance with the approved scope of work.
- Provide structural engineering support to multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, MEP, and project controls disciplines.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of design and engineering activities.
- Attend and witness inspections, testing, and acceptance activities as required.
- Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to structural engineering matters.
- Provide technical support to construction sites and assist in resolving design related issues.
- Identify discrepancies, evaluate technical challenges, and recommend practical engineering solutions.
- Participate in safety meetings and review installation demonstrations of proposed materials and construction systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering design and construction
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of major heavy civil or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and foundation design
- In depth knowledge of structural mechanics and structural engineering design practices
- Experience using structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, Revit, CAD, WALLAP, Oasys Slope, TEDDS, SuperSTRESS, FEM, or similar platforms
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering design software and industry best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and coordination skills
- Experience in rail, metro, transit, or transportation infrastructure projects (preferred)
- Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region (preferred)
