Responsibilities
- Perform complex technical and administrative activities in contract compliance, QC and QA inspection of structural scope
- Analyze codes, standards, and contract documents; monitor construction activities for compliance
- Interpret contract documents for contractors and maintain records including progress reports and change orders
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate the inspection team; conduct weekly meetings
- Audit inspections for conformity and assist senior discipline engineer with technical issues
- Issue NCRs for violations and attend progress review meetings
- Coordinate snagging and project handover; provide support to resident engineer
- Monitor health and safety of construction works and report unsafe practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering (Master's preferred)
- Extensive site experience in structural works for large scale building projects
- Familiarity with structural engineering methodologies, equipment, materials, and manpower allocations
- Experience with high rise residential and commercial buildings
- Knowledge of relevant authority requirements
- Good team player with high energy levels

Job Description
- Perform complex technical and administrative activities in contract compliance, QC and QA inspection of structural scope.
- Analyze applicable codes, standards, and project contract documents; monitor construction activities for compliance.
- Interpret or clarify contract documents for contractors.
- Maintain and prepare records including daily/weekly progress reports, material accounting records, change orders, and record drawings.
- Provide assistance to the Project Engineer/Site Engineer.
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate the inspection team; conduct weekly meetings with inspectors and Project Engineer.
- Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.
- Assist Senior Discipline engineer to identify, respond to, or evaluate technical issues to maintain schedule.
- Highlight violations through issuance of NCRs.
- Attend progress review meetings and coordination meetings to assist Project Lead/Senior Engineer.
- Participate in coordination and monitoring of snagging and project handover.
- Provide support to Resident Engineer/Team lead; liaise with Design Engineer on modifications if required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Membership of a recognized institution preferred.
Specific Skills Required
- Site experience in basic design requirements, estimation, installation, and all site activities related to structural works for large scale building projects.
- Familiarity with structural engineering methodologies, equipment, materials, consumables, tools, and manpower allocations.
- Well versed in interpreting and executing structural related drawings.
- Knowledge of related authorities requirements.
- High rise residential and commercial buildings experience required with strong background in start up, execution, and handover of major projects.
