Job Purpose
To design, engineer, and optimize complex structural solutions using appropriate software, while coordinating with project teams and support functions to ensure alignment and effective execution of plans.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop structural calculations and design models.
- Perform load calculations and design checks.
- Design foundations and framing systems.
- Review structural detailing.
- Coordinate design changes and revisions.
- Optimize designs for cost and constructability.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, international standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Review structural integrity and risk factors.
- Support safe construction methodologies.
- Ensure construction quality meets specifications.
- Conduct inspections and snagging.
- Support testing and commissioning where relevant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in structural engineering, preferably in the Industrial or Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong calculation experience.
- Impeccable knowledge of loading bearing capacity.
- Design and manage structures from concept to inception.
