Role Overview
Manage the end-to-end receipt, storage, inventory control, and issuance of food ingredients, packaging, and processing chemicals.
Support uninterrupted manufacturing operations while maintaining stock accuracy, food safety, cold chain, and warehouse safety compliance.
Receiving and Material Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Verify packaging integrity, batch and lot details, certificates of analysis, and receiving temperatures for cold and frozen inventory.
- Unload materials safely and perform preliminary physical checks before storage system entry.
Inventory and Expiry Management
- Execute FIFO and FEFO stock rotation protocols.
- Track batch, lot, and expiry dates to prevent shelf-life degradation or expired stock from reaching production.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies to maintain high stock accuracy.
Storage and Safety Controls
- Monitor and log environmental and temperature conditions for cold rooms, freezer stores, and ambient warehouse zones.
- Separate raw ingredients, allergens, packaging materials, and food-grade sanitation chemicals.
- Maintain clean, hygienic, and organized storage areas using 5S housekeeping principles.
- Follow food safety, GWP, HACCP, EHS, safe manual handling, and material handling equipment requirements.
ERP and Production Support
- Record material receipts, issuances, internal transfers, and returns in an ERP or WMS such as SAP.
- Issue raw materials to production promptly against approved requisitions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of general warehouse experience, including raw materials warehousing in food and beverage, FMCG, cold chain, or meat processing.
- Experience with raw material handling, receiving verification, stock reconciliation, and production support.
- Hands-on ERP or WMS experience, including inventory transaction posting and balance management.
- Strong knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, lot traceability, food safety standards, and workplace EHS rules.
- High School Diploma or Logistics Diploma preferred.
- Certified Forklift Operator license is a strong plus.
