ROLE SUMMARY

  • The Store Manager – Supermarket is responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery and efficient day to day operations within the assigned supermarket.
  • The role drives sales growth, maximizes profitability, ensures optimal stock availability and management, enhances customer satisfaction, and supports sustainable business growth.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Implement supermarket strategies, policies, and operational plans in alignment with Majid Al Futtaim Retail objectives.
  • Drive commercial performance through analysis of sales, profitability, and operational metrics.
  • Ensure effective merchandise and inventory management, including stock availability, pricing consistency, waste reduction, and minimization of shrinkage.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Department Heads to maintain attractive product displays, efficient stock replenishment, and timely delivery of merchandise.
  • Oversee supermarket service functions, including asset maintenance, hygiene, health & safety compliance, and adherence to customer service standards.
  • Lead and develop the supermarket team by setting performance objectives, providing feedback, coaching, and supporting talent development initiatives.
  • Identify training and manpower requirements, coordinate learning initiatives, and implement on the job training to build team capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Majid Al Futtaim Retail’s corporate policies, operational procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Achieve strong financial performance including turnover, net profit, margins, and transaction growth.
  • Minimize waste and shrinkage while ensuring effective inventory control and product availability.
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising, stock quality, and overall product availability.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, operational health index (OHI) results, and service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and security standards across all supermarket operations.
  • Develop human capital through effective leadership, coaching, training, and retention strategies.
