- Lead, train, and mentor the stock control team to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures
- Develop and implement stock control processes that promote inventory accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct regular audits of stock levels and investigate discrepancies between physical and recorded stock
- Utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels and generate reports for analysis
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. purchasing, logistics, sales) to ensure availability of stock and support sales initiatives
- Manage stock movements, including receiving, storage, and distribution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Identify trends, make recommendations for stock optimization, and report on stock related KPIs
- Coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment and maintain positive relationships
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to stock management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in stock control or inventory management
- At least 1 year in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of stock control principles and best practices
- Experience with inventory management software and systems
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
