Support accurate inventory management and efficient stock control operations.
Work with warehouse, procurement, logistics, sales, and operations teams to maintain inventory accuracy and product availability.
Stock control duties
- Monitor stock levels, maintain inventory records, and record incoming and outgoing stock.
- Check quantities and product information and update inventory systems.
- Conduct physical stock counts, regular cycle counts, and stocktake activities.
- Investigate discrepancies and reconcile inventory records against actual stock levels.
- Prepare inventory reports and support inventory tracking and data analysis.
- Identify damaged, missing, excess, and slow-moving stock.
- Monitor stock movements, product locations, and reorder levels.
- Escalate potential inventory issues when required.
Qualifications
- Hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Understand inventory control, stock management, warehousing, replenishment, and order fulfillment processes.
- Understand stock movements, adjustments, product locations, reorder levels, and inventory discrepancies.
Required skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Use Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools for inventory tracking, reporting, and data analysis.
- Demonstrate organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established inventory control procedures.
- Work proactively in a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Preferred systems familiarity
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, barcode scanners, or warehouse management systems is preferred.
