Position overview
Stewards Supervisor role in the Food and Beverage & Culinary department at Le Méridien in Lusail, Qatar.
The position is classified as full time and non-management in the source posting.
Core responsibilities
- Direct and assist stewards to improve cleaning efficiency.
- Check and document water temperature and chemical levels used for cleaning.
- Assist with banquet plate-ups and provide support to cooks and kitchen staff.
- Transport banquet and buffet items and maintain adequate stock.
- Return cleaned items to designated locations.
- Operate and maintain dishwashers, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, company assets, guest service, teamwork, and quality standards.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
- At least 2 years of related work experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
