Role Overview
Responsible for cutting, bending, placing, and fixing reinforcement steel according to approved drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
Ensure reinforcement is installed accurately and safely before concrete pouring.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand structural drawings, bar bending schedules, and specifications.
- Cut, bend, and assemble reinforcement bars according to required dimensions.
- Fix reinforcement steel for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other concrete structures.
- Maintain specified spacing, laps, overlaps, and concrete cover.
- Use binding wire, chairs, spacers, couplers, and other reinforcement accessories.
- Check reinforcement work before concrete placement and correct discrepancies.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, carpenters, and other site workers.
- Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow company and construction-site health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Steel Fixer in construction.
- Ability to read reinforcement drawings and BBS is preferred.
- Knowledge of reinforcement fixing methods and construction practices.
- Ability to use steel-fixing tools safely and efficiently.
