Position Overview

Workplace and Industry

• The position is full-time and site-based.
• The role covers landscaping, horticulture, and facilities maintenance operations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, UAE.
• The work includes outdoor and operational site environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and QHSE standards across landscaping sites.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Identify hazards in landscaping, irrigation, gardening, maintenance, and construction activities.
• Prepare risk assessments, method statements, JSA/JHA documents, toolbox talks, and safety checklists.
• Ensure PPE use and safe working practices, including safe equipment, machinery, vehicle, lifting, and material-handling operations.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE awareness sessions.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, irrigation, planting, hard landscaping, paving, and other site construction work.
• Ensure safe handling of fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.
• Monitor heat-stress prevention, hydration, rest breaks, and welfare arrangements.
• Investigate incidents and maintain HSE records, reports, and training documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, engineers, and workers to resolve safety concerns.
• Monitor environmental practices, emergency preparedness, and compliance with UAE and client requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant HSE experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of HSE/QHSE procedures, risk assessment, incident investigation, and site safety practices is required.
• Outdoor or site-based work experience, knowledge of UAE HSE requirements, and client safety standards are required.
• Good communication, training, report-writing, documentation, observation, problem-solving, and incident-prevention skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent HSE certification is preferred.
• Experience in landscaping, horticulture, irrigation, construction, facilities management, infrastructure, or outdoor maintenance operations is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 4,500–6,000 per month.
