Position Title: STEAM and Gifted Teacher Classification: REA Reports To: Building Principal SUMMARY OF POSITION: The STEM/Gifted Teacher position is designed to provide integrated STEM and Gifted programming across the grade levels.
STEM instruction includes project-based learning, computer science, and the engineering design process.
In addition to STEM instruction, this position will support Gifted services at the building(s).
The STEM/Gifted Teacher ensures students' needs are being met to promote systematic success as measured by achievement of Gifted Individualized Education Plan (GIEP) goals, course grades, state assessments, and post-secondary entrance assessments.
The STEM/Gifted Education Teacher is also responsible for ensuring adherence to all gifted education laws and regulations for their assigned school(s).
