About the Role

- Provide Incident Command during emergency situations
- Ensure maintenance program for vehicles and fire equipment is followed
- Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance through appraisals, feedback, coaching
- Lead and manage the watch, ensuring preparedness for emergencies
- Maintain operational readiness of workforce, vehicles, equipment, and facilities
- Plan and approve annual leave schedules and manage absences
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to develop emergency response plans
- Conduct regular drills and exercises to maintain readiness
- Liaise with airport management, airlines, and stakeholders
- Oversee training and professional development of RFFS personnel
- Ensure risks and hazards are properly reported and corrective actions implemented
Requirements
- Certifications relevant to discipline
- Accredited certification at Watch Manager (or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferred)
- Extensive experience in aviation rescue and firefighting services (5+ years)
- Minimum of 3 years at supervisory level
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be physically and medically fit

Role Overview
