Role Overview
Wagepoint is hiring a Staff UX Designer to create accessible, meaningful payroll experiences for small businesses.
The role combines hands-on design execution with cross-functional leadership and reports to the UX Design Manager.
Role Responsibilities
- Set the standard for design craft through prototypes and high-quality designs.
- Manage multiple projects and turn ambiguous, large-scale problems into clear plans and documented solutions.
- Apply systems thinking through information architecture, user flows, and system maps.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and senior leaders on UX and product decisions.
- Drive AI-assisted discovery standards and champion design-system governance and adoption.
- Shape product strategy, UX standards, DesignOps initiatives, accessibility practices, and data-led decisions.
- Mentor designers through feedback, design reviews, and development support.
