Responsibilities
- Provide age appropriate patient care according to Nursing Scope of Practice
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with policies and unit scope of service
- Administer medications according to policies and evaluate patient response
- Supervise practical nurses, midwives, junior staff and student nurses
- Participate in quality improvement activities and performance improvement projects
- Ensure documentation is compliant with policies and reflects accurate nursing assessment
- Respond to emergencies according to policies
- Provide patient and family education
Requirements
- NLT 2 years clinical experience post qualification in appropriate setting
- Experience requirement waived for graduates of UAE nursing colleges/universities after completion of internship
- Valid nursing license/registration as per regulatory body
- Knowledge of HAAD and MOH regulations

Job Description
- Understands, supports and promotes the mission, vision and values of Organization.
- Provides age appropriate patient care according to the Nursing Scope of Practice as defined by the regulatory body.
- Adheres to and promotes the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi.
- Promotion of health and delivery of health education.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a professional commitment to patients and fellow health care professionals.
- Demonstrates sound critical thinking, conflict management and problem solving ability.
- Promotes and supports a collaborative practice model.
- Promotes an interdisciplinary team approach based on mutual respect and direct communication.
- Participates in annual performance reviews of self and others.

- Supervises practical nurses and practical midwives, junior staff and student nurses.
- Acts as a preceptor to new staff as required.
- Performs in charge duties as delegated.
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
- Assumes accountability and responsibility for own practice.
Qualifications
- Special Certificate: Required: NLT 2 years clinical experience post qualification in appropriate setting.
