Responsibilities
- Complete timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, plan and update plan of care based on individual patient needs
- Provide direct care and evaluate outcomes, incorporating principles of family centered care
- Monitor and document patients’ condition and effectiveness of care and interventions
- Assess educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs
- Provide teaching and educational material to the patient and/or significant as appropriate
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning
- Carry out prescribed treatments in accordance with approved policies, protocols and educational material procedures
- Delegate appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and family information
- Respect Patient Rights and demonstrate behaviors of a Patients’ First Philosophy
- Report errors and near misses
- Complete charge capture education and in service training; enter charges in Epic within specified timeframes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program
- Associate Degree Nurses from North America with evidence of passing the National exam (USA: NCLEX – RN & Canada: Licensing Exam)
- Minimum of two (2) years post graduate experience in an Intervention Radiology setting
- Valid and current national license
- BLS from AHA or equivalent, or obtain within 3 months
- ACLS relevant to specialty from AHA or equivalent, or obtain within 6 months
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience with electronic medical record is strongly preferred
- Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and/or significant as appropriate
- Validates and documents patient and family understand of teaching
- Administers prescribed medications in accordance with approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning
- Carries out prescribed treatments in accordance with approved policies, protocols and educational material procedures
- Use the knowledge of one’s own role and the roles of other professions to appropriately assess and address the health care needs of the patients and populations served
- Demonstrates commitment to providing evidence based practice care by: adhering to protocols for the care of patient populations in which assigned, reporting needed changes in practice supported by evidence, and participating in evaluating patient outcomes utilizing evidence
- Delegates appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team
- Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and family information by promoting professional interdisciplinary communication
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
- Minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required
- Associate Degree Nurses from North America with evidence of passing the National exam is required (USA: NCLEX – RN & Canada: Licensing Exam)
