Description
This is a reclassification opportunity open only to current Associate Modelers at Metro Water Recovery. Uses BIM software to produce and update as-built drawing sets. Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other members of the design and construction teams. Works under the direct supervision of the BIM Supervisor with technical guidance from the Senior Modelers.

Uses BIM software to produce and update as-built drawing sets. Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other members of the design and construction teams. Works under the direct supervision of the BIM Supervisor with technical guidance from the Senior Modelers.
Examples of Duties
- Independently uses Autodesk Revit or Civil3D to edit, update, and maintain building/facility digital twins. Arranges and sets up drawing organization in Revit to publish drawings to pdf. Plots hard copies of drawings, when needed. Independently seeks answers to Revit modeling issues. Can independently determine when to use a preexisting Revit family, find a family online, or create a family from scratch. Can model basic custom Revit families. Under direction, uses EdgeWise to extract pointcloud geometry. Reviews the work of Associate Modelers, providing redlines and comments to drawings sets, when needed. Produces pdf and hard copies of drawing sets for engineers and other staff members to review. Independently seeks feedback from engineers and senior staff members on drawing production work. Assists in pointcloud production tasks, including geometry extraction, when required. Conducts research on historical drawings for facility information, when needed. Performs other technical tasks as assigned.
